Youth Justice Data Workshop Recap!
Posted in Announcements Leading-Change-Blog
We want to thank everyone joined us for the “Turning Data into Youth Justice Impact” Workshop last week! Your thoughtful questions, examples, and reflections are what made the conversations real and grounded in the day-to-day work with young people and families! While the workshop was designed primarily for youth-serving professionals with limited data backgrounds, we truly appreciate those of you who brought deeper evaluation or research expertise into the space. Your contributions helped build a richer discussion and supported learning across the group in the past two days.
For those who were not able to join us this time, a recap! A bountiful cohort of nearly 50 attendees spent two afternoons with us on December 8th and 9th. As noted, the cohort had a diverse mix of experience in data work in youth-serving fields. Together, through a series of full-group presentations and breakout sessions, participants used their own real-life examples and projects to explore how to:
- Measure outcomes for program effectiveness,
- Create compelling narratives through accessible data presentation and visualization
- Strengthen their understanding of the fundamentals of evaluation, and
- Utilize different data sources.
We’re looking forward to our next online workshop, and reviewing when we can offer this workshop again in 2026!
Thanks again to all who joined us, and please keep in touch!
