Proud to Present on Crossover Youth at the CJJ Annual Conference!

Posted in Announcements News
A big congratulations to the Coalition for Juvenile Justice for hosting an incredibly substantial 2025 Annual Conference. The conference’s theme “Stronger Together: Building Collective Momentum for Youth Justice” is very well-timed, and we’re excited to continue the collaboration and keep the momentum going on behalf of youth, children, and families.
As part of the conference, our own Senior Deputy Director, Macon Stewart, and Deputy Director for Research, Karen Kolivoski, hosted a workshop around the theme “Aligning Systems to Improve Outcomes: Applying the Crossover Youth Practice Model to Serve Dual System Youth.”
The workshop explored the collaboration between child welfare and youth legal systems put forth in the Crossover Youth Practice Model (CYPM). Participants explored barriers to partnership, developed strategies for coordination, and developed action-oriented ideas. With research supporting the model’s effectiveness, the session also highlighted how data can be used to enhance outcomes for crossover youth.
We were invigorated by the great conversations and interest in crossover youth (you can see a glimpse of that engagement in the world cloud below), and want to thank the Coalition for Juvenile Justice once again for their tireless efforts in moving the ball forward on youth justice.
